The government should do more to protect journalistsNo Comment
The Afghan government has asked all journalists including private mass media to use from now on, the sacred word of “martyred” for those security forces who are killed in battlefields against Taliban and terrorist groups.
Obviously, this decision of the government will have very deep impression in encouraging the morals of surviving soldiers, since it will make them to believe that they are on the right way and fight for a holy war which their main purposes are defending from territorial integrity, independence etc and if killed by their opponents, their death is not an ordinary fatal but memorial and respectable for the government and people. In this regard, what is very crucial for journalists is that the government should do more efforts in protection of media workers while they use this term. The term which glorify the dead bodies of Afghan army and it is not acceptable for terrorist groups to be used for their enemies. That is some thing that we expect from the government.
