On 9th June, Hafizullah Haqparast, a local journalist in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province was killed in a conflict between government and Taliban.
Haqparast’s family has announced that he was gardening in the village of Arab Khan of Kalangar, while conflict between government forces and Taliban took place and he was martyred during that.
Didar Lavang, provincial spokes of logar has announced the start of an investigation into the issue and said, they would share the results with media accordingly.

Meanwhile, last Thursday, Mina Khairi, journalist for Ariana News, lost her life along with her mother and sister in a bomb blast in Kabul.
With the assassination of Mr. Haqparast, this is the ninth journalists and media employees to lose their lives since the beginning of 2021 in the country.
It’s worth mentioning that Mr. Haqparast stated his first career in Radio Paigham-e-Melli in 2004 at Mohammad Agha district of Logar province, and he has been worked in various local, national and international media
