Nai Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan has recorded complaints regarding the behavior of security forces in the provincial headquarters with journalists in the northern zones including Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz and Baghlan provinces.
The complaints determine that the behavior of security forces has become more violent with journalists. Nai Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan has thoroughly observed the complaints and thinks that the security forces’ behavior in centers of these cities seems worrying.
However, Nai as a national entity feels proud of the security and defense forces in the country and thoroughly believes in their ability and professionalism.
Despite all that, Nai asks the security forces including Interior Affairs, National Defense ministries, and National Directorate of Security to direct their personnel to change their behavior if they have behaved in an unprofessional manner.
Nai thinks that security forces’ behavior with citizens and in specific journalists should not touch the current political situation in the country. If it is required to make a difference in their behavior so this should be positive and entirely nonpolitical change.
Nai is concerned about the current situation and looks forward that the security forces pay their fully attention in this regard.
